About R.I.S.E Senior Day Center

R.I.S.E. Senior Day Center was founded in Springfield in 2022 by Samantha Troutman. Her strong desire to enhance the lives of caregivers and their senior loved ones sparked a dream of a unique adult day program.

Samantha founded Caring Companions In-Home Senior Care, a home care agency in Springfield, in 2017. Caring Companions provides one-on-one personalized care in client’s homes. In addition to in-home services, Samantha felt there needed to be a place for people who cannot be safely left alone, who demonstrate a decline in cognitive functioning, or who just need to connect more with others to socialize when they can no longer go to the office, bridge club, Rotary meeting or the senior center but were not ready for a facility. She knew in her heart that if there was a center with a design and programs specifically for those with memory and age-related problems, people could socialize with peers, keep their mind and body active; and remain independent in their home longer. After three years of careful planning and research, her dream became a reality and R.I.S.E. Senior Day Center is now the only daytime senior care center in Springfield.

Our Philosophy and Objectives

We strive to:

  • Promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of participants in a secure and meaningful environment in an atmosphere of cheer and contentment.
  • Enable the daycare participant to develop relationships outside of the family in a socially stimulating setting; reintroduce participants or allow them time to adjust to group interaction; and reduce or prevent physical and emotional withdrawal or isolation that can result when elders live alone or are left alone for long periods of time.
  • Provide family caregiver(s) with time and opportunity to care for their own needs or pursue their own interests by providing care and supervision outside of the caregiver’s own home.
  • Offer high-quality, professional care services in a secure and comfortable environment to caregiving families and daycare program clients.

Who We Serve

Daytime care and services are provided for seniors who cannot be safely left alone, who demonstrate a decline in cognitive functioning, or who just need to connect more with others. We also have a specialized program for those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. In order to stay true to our mission statement and provide a non-clinical setting where those in the earlier stages can enjoy a day with a peer group much like themselves, the following enrollment criteria have been established.

  • Should be at least 50 years of age with either a diagnosis of dementia and/or socially compatible with individuals with memory impairment.
  • Must be able to ambulate independently or mobile with the assistance of a walker, cane, and/or staff. Wheelchairs are not permitted.
  • Must be able to participate and benefit from the center’s programs, at least 50% of the time.
